It seems like every social media platform is releasing new feature after new feature—and just in time for the holidays! 

Grab your coffee. Put your phone on DND. It's time to dive into (and play around with!) the new social media news and features from the week. 

This is something that we’re so excited about—TikTok now has a new “Customize Feed” option to make your For You page even more … for you!

The new feature will let you write what you would like to see more, or less of, inside of your FYP. Outside of saying things like “I want more cat videos,” you can even say that you would like to see different content for a certain amount of time, more content from a certain creator you love, and so much more.

The new feature is currently in Beta testing and not fully launched, but giving the option to the actual user on content they want to see on their FYP seems like a pretty A+ idea in our book.

Last week, Meta announced that you will now be able to download Reels you have posted to Instagram. The new download feature (which launched in the US back in June!) will allow all users to be able to download any publicly posted Reels on the platform.

However, if you don’t want any ol’ person to download your Reel, you can turn off this option! … We would probably recommend doing that. 😬

The downloaded Reel will have the Instagram logo and the creator’s username posted to the Reel so everyone knows exactly whose video it really is.
