Instagram Reels Analytics in Flick (NEW)
Instagram Reels analytics has officially landed! Start tracking all the metrics you need for your Instagram Reels over on Flick today!

You’ve been asking and asking and we’ve been wishing and wishing, and it’s finally here: Analytics for Reels has finally been released and you can play with it inside of Flick.
Earlier this week, Meta released the API for Instagram Reels and we have been hard at work to integrate Reels into Flick! And we’re thrilled to announce that you can now start checking all of those metrics you’ve been dying to know about Reels through your Flick account!
*Important note: According to Meta, this is an initial roll-out, and only 25% of Instagram users will be granted Analytics through the API – it’s been highlighted that it should be available to all Instagram users by July 6th.
Update: ALL users have access to Instagram Reels Analytics as of July 7th.
What analytics can you get with Reels?
With this being the initial roll-out of Reels analytics, you’ll be able to check out your:
- Likes
- Comments
- Plays (Impressions)
- Reach
- Saved
- Shares
- Engagement Rate
No more trying to figure out if your post had high engagement by clicking on the Instagram app, you can now view ALL of your Instagram analytics in one place.
How to view Instagram Reels Analytics
Now that you know all of the metrics you can track, it’s time to start tracking.
- Login to your Flick account (and if you don’t have one yet, click here to get started on your 7-day FREE trial).
- Click “analytics” on the left-hand side of the screen.
- At the top, click the “content” tab.
- You’ll see three options: “Feed,” “Stories,” and “Reels.” Click “Reels.”
- You can now scroll and view all of your analytics related to the Reels from your Instagram account!
Why don’t I have access to Reels Analytics?
Meta is doing a slow roll-out to all users. From Meta:
*While some users may have access to all Reels APIs as early as June 28, this rollout will occur gradually at the account level through July 6. We will be unable to indicate which users have access between June 28 and July 6.
If you don’t have access to these analytics just yet, it’s coming very soon!
What can we expect from Reels analytics in the future?
We’re bringing you a lot for our first release but there is still more to come! We want to make sure that you’re getting the best and most up-to-date analytics when it comes to your Instagram account, so we are planning on releasing:
- Ranked Hashtags, so you can see which hashtags have helped your Reels
- In-app benchmarks to see how your Reel ranks against others
- Added into your weekly round-up emails
And trust us, there will be a whole lot more when the time comes!
Why is it essential to track Reels analytics?
As we all know, and as Mosseri has been touting for a long time, Instagram is no longer a photo-staring app! Reels have been around for almost two years now and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
When it comes to creating content, you want to make sure that the content is something your audience is actually interested in, so tracking your analytics is one of the best ways to find out if your followers enjoy your posts … or if they can’t really be bothered. Can you schedule Instagram Reels?
On Flick, you can schedule Instagram Reels and get a notification when it’s time to post. The option to auto-publish your Reels hasn’t yet been released and we are hopeful with this new API that Meta will soon release the option to auto-post Reels in the future (fingers and toes crossed!). 🎉
