Instagram. Aren’t you, like, tired? Because I know I sure am. 😴
Another week, another list of new roll out features from Instagram. And TikTok. And Facebook. And Twitter.
Social media managers, how you doing out there? 😅
Now, before we dive in. Get a drink (preferably an alcoholic one) and let’s jump in.
Everyone’s favorite and least favorite person, Adam Mosseri announced on Instagram yesterday that NFTs are officially coming to a screen near you.
Seems like the perfect time to bring them to the platform, when it seems like the clout NFTs once had is steadily … declining. But who am I to judge what they do? I had ice cream for dinner last night. Mosseri explained that IG is launching a test of its new NFT features to select creators in the US. SoooOoOOo how will it work?
Users will be able to display their NFTs on the main IG feed, and there will be a new NFT tab added to participating accounts with a cute little check mark to indicated a verified NFT.
⭐️ Creators can connect a digital wallet to their IG account and select which NFTs from their wallet they want to share on Insta.
⭐️ Once a creator posts a digital collectible, it’ll have a cute lil’ shimmer effect and will be visible on their profile.
⭐️ The creator can be automatically attributed in the digital collectible post, along with the owner of the NFT.
Is this all going to be part of the *~Metaverse~* that we’re soon going to be plugged into? Should we all be purchasing and making NFTs?! *panics*

While TikTok has been growing outrageously over the past two years, something it has SERIOUSLY fallen behind on is getting money to their creators. But that’s all about to change soon, baby!
TikTok has announced a new “TikTok Pulse” program where it will allow advertisers to place ads alongside the most popular content on the video app.
And with this comes a new way for creators to make additional income without hustling to get brand deals for themselves on the side. Not that we don’t mind a good hustle, but if your content is constantly going viral and you’re not making that nice cash-cash-money? Ugh. 🎉
With TikTok Pulse, brands will be able to place their ads next to videos that are in the top 4% of top performers on any given day which means their ads and content are getting the max views possible.
How do creators fit into this? Now that TikTok is getting $$$$ for ads, it will be exploring its “first advertising revenue share program with creators, public figures and media publishers. Creators and publishers with at least 100K followers will be eligible in the initial stage of this program.” Which means TikTok’s most popular creators will now be able to get some moooooooney just by posting in the app!
So not only is TikTok Pulse a game changer for creators, it’s also a huge game changer for brands and businesses! And we’re ALL here for that.
Instagram is currently testing on users a full-screen version of their home page. And what does that mean? Oh, yeah. It looks exactly like TikTok.
In the grand scheme of things, it makes sense as Instagram is working on making all of its content align with Reels.
And it seems like Instagram isn’t stopping there! They are testing out a feature where all content will be in one scrollable feed, and by all content, I mean ALL content: Reels, Videos, Images, and Stories.
While this is only being tested currently, it does seem like this is the move Instagram is definitely going to be making official. 💍

Ruh-Roh, TikTok. This ain’t good.
Seems like working for TikTok, actually, kinda, sucks? According to a new investigative piece from The Wall Street Journal, former employees are calling out the highly rated video app as being a preeeeeeetty toxic work environment.
Say it ain’t so.
Employees have reported that they have spent over 85 hours per week in meetings with more time needed to spent actually … doing their job. 😭
While we love that TikTok is actually getting ad revenue in for their content creators … it might be well past time to start looking internally because it seems like the call might be coming from inside the house. 😬
